Coffee Day
The First Meet Fountain Pen Journal Meeting
Today we met at a local coffee shop. We ordered some coffee, played blackjack with Bicycle House Blend Playing Cards, then wrote some about freedom. We can sit and discuss our points of view on different topics. Here is our first meet. Cheers to those who can enjoy. The Kaweco Machiato performs well if a little bit on the toothy side. It however feels cheap. A pocket pen as it is known for and I seringe filled the kaweco cartridge it arrived with. The medium nib and plastic feed were able to write on demand and the pigment ink java’d well with it. The Lamy Lx Rose Gold did better. Sometimes it is at least half about how a pen feels in hand. The LX feels like a solid pen in hand while being well ballanced unposted. The medium steel nib performed well and had good ink flow. The Retro 51 Tornado is one of my daily drivers now. The black medium nib fows good with the provided plastic feed. The Sepia flows super smooth through it and has that awesome asthetics of a chalk board.
The meet let us go out and display our fountain pens and journals in the wild. We enjoyed our first meet in public, journaling and let us express our thoughts on freedom. This is a primary example of what can be expected for anyone who wants to join. We will find places that have acceptible conditions to host a fountain pen journal meetings.
